Instant Quotes for Custom Industrial Parts

Get Binding Price & Fixed Delivery Date in Minutes.

Upload your CAD file and technical drawing. MakerVerse returns an instant quote for custom parts with a binding price and a fixed delivery date in minutes. No manual entry, no follow-up emails.

How Instant Quoting Works at MakerVerse

  1. Upload

Submit your CAD file (STEP, STL, or other supported format) and attach the technical drawing.

  2. Analysis

The AI reads part geometry, technical specifications (material costs, process methods), and market logistics (local availability, real-time delivery costs). Tolerances and surface finishes are extracted directly from the drawing via OCR.

  3. Pricing

The engine benchmarks against historical sales and real-time market and capacity data. Automated checks flag inconsistencies, miscalculations, or material mismatches before the quote is finalized. Delivery, taxes, and quality assurance are included upfront.

  4. Quote

Receive a binding price and fixed delivery date in minutes, ready to order.

In our July 2026 benchmark, MakerVerse was one of two platforms to read tolerances and surface finishes automatically from the uploaded drawing. It was the only one of those two to support direct ordering.

What Is a Binding Instant Quote?

A binding instant quote is a confirmed price and a confirmed delivery date, generated automatically after you upload your CAD file and technical drawing. Both are contractually fixed. The price and delivery date you confirm are the ones that appear on the invoice.

The quote you see is the price you pay. A ballpark figure with a follow-up call is not a quote.

Drawing Intelligence

MakerVerse reads tolerances, surface finishes, and process specifications directly from your uploaded technical drawing via OCR. No manual re-entry is required.

Accepted file formats: STEP and STL are recommended. The platform also accepts IGES, DXF, DWG, CATIA, SolidWorks, JT, and OBJ.

Why Use MakerVerse Instant Quoting

  • Lowest binding price in the benchmark: MakerVerse returned the lowest orderable quote for both test parts, 57% below the next complete binding quote for Part 2.

  • Only platform with automatic drawing OCR and direct ordering: Of the 6 platforms tested, only MakerVerse reads the technical drawing automatically and lets you place the order directly from the platform.

  • Binding commitment: Price and delivery date are contractually fixed at quote. No post-order surcharges, no renegotiation.

  • Total cost included upfront: Delivery, taxes, and quality assurance are part of the quote. What you see is what gets invoiced.

  • Fallback options: If the instant quote doesn’t fit, Target Price or Engineering Review (response within 24 hours) are available. Series production (50–5,000 parts) is handled via frame agreements.

Endless Flexibility for Your Projects

With our pricing engine, you remain flexible when refining the input parameters of your project. The platform supports complex custom configurations, making it ideal for professional engineering environments with variable requirements.

What the Quote Covers

Every instant quote includes the full scope of your order.

Lead-time modes
Standard (instant quotes available), Express (accelerated, manual processing), Economy (up to 30% less expensive, manual processing)
Volume range
Single prototypes through tiered volume discounts to series production (50–5,000 parts via frame agreements)
Pricing models
Dynamic pricing, tiered structures, and volume discounts supported
Automated approvals
Seamless workflows eliminate manual bottlenecks for large deals
Technologies
CNC machining, additive manufacturing (LPBF, SLS, MJF, FDM, SLA, PolyJet), sheet metal fabrication, injection molding, rapid casting. Compare in real time within a single session.
Materials
280+ materials available across the partner network; surface finishes and quality requirements adjustable inline

Lead times start from 5 working days (CNC), 6 working days (additive manufacturing), and 14 working days (sheet metal fabrication).

System Integration

MakerVerse’s quoting tool connects to ERP, CRM, and billing platforms. Quote data flows directly into your existing systems, so engineering and finance teams work from the same numbers without manual exports or re-entry.

When the Instant Quote Doesn’t Cover Your Case

The instant quoting engine covers standard CNC, additive, and sheet metal requests. Three options handle cases it doesn’t:

Target Price
State your desired price per part. A manufacturing engineer manually checks feasibility and responds within 24 hours.
Engineering Review
Use “Request engineering review” for complex geometries, special materials, or custom finishes. Response within 24 hours.
Frame Agreement
For series production (50–5,000 parts), a dedicated contact provides fixed pricing and staggered batch deliveries under a long-term agreement.

Quality and Security

ISO 9001:2015

ISO 27001
information security certified. CAD files are handled with the same confidentiality expected from a long-term supplier. NDA signing is standard practice, not an exception.
ZEISS partnership
available quality documentation includes a 3.1 acceptance test certificate (EN 10204), a CMM dimensional report, a First Article Inspection (FAIR/VDA 6.3), a certificate of conformity, a CT scan, and a tensile test
Double Quality Control
every order goes through twofold QC by MakerVerse before shipment
Consistency Guarantee
a reorder produces an identical result to the first order, same specification, same quality

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the instant quote really binding — can MakerVerse change the price after I order?

Yes, the quote is binding. Once confirmed, the price and delivery date are contractually fixed. There are no post-order surcharges and no renegotiations. The only exception is a customer-initiated change to the part specification after the order is placed.

What file formats does MakerVerse accept for an instant quote?

STEP and STL are recommended. The platform also accepts IGES, DXF, DWG, CATIA, SolidWorks, JT, and OBJ. Uploading a technical drawing alongside the CAD file allows the AI to extract tolerances and specifications automatically, which improves quote accuracy.

How does MakerVerse read my technical drawing?

MakerVerse uses drawing OCR to extract tolerances, surface specifications, and other requirements directly from the uploaded drawing. No manual re-entry. In a July 2026 benchmark (6 platforms, 2 CNC parts, own test), only MakerVerse and Spanflug achieved automatic drawing reading. Protolabs Network and Xometry required manual corrections; Fictiv and RapidDirect did not produce a quote.

What happens if the instant quote doesn’t fit my price or lead-time requirement?

Use the Target Price feature to state your desired price. A manufacturing engineer checks feasibility and responds within 24 hours. Alternatively, use the “Need a different lead time?” function to request a specific delivery date. For series production (50–5,000 parts), a dedicated engineer provides a fixed-price quote under a frame agreement.

Can I get instant quotes for multiple technologies in a single order?

Yes. MakerVerse lets you quote CNC parts, 3D-printed components, sheet metal, and other technologies in a single session and combine them in one order: one quote, one point of contact, one delivery.
